16 May - base trails volunteer day

Make a difference and join us for an afternoon of giving back and helping maintain & beautify our base’s trail system! Connect with fellow nature lovers while making a lasting impact on our outdoor spaces.

Whether youre a seasoned trailblazer or new to volunteering, your help is invaluable!

Bonus: This is an eligible activity for a Letter of Appreciation for promotional bullets!

24-25 May - junior ranger campout

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure! Join us and the National Park Service for a FREE overnight campout filled with fun and exploration.

Kids will have the chance to earn their NPS Junior Ranger badge, learn essential outdoor skills, and enjoy exciting games. Each participant will receive a Junior Ranger pack that includes activity supplies, a special badge, a compass, a rain gauge, and more. Plus, all food and equipment are provided!

Participants must be at least 6 years old and must be accompanied by a guardian. Limited shared camper lodging is available for ADA accessibility.

Registration deadline is May 22nd.

31 May - Mount Nebo State Park Pedals and Plunge

Experience a mountain biking adventure at Mount Nebo State Park, where scenic overlooks and breathtaking views of the Arkansas River Valley await. After hitting the trails, relax by the pool and take in the sunset from the peak of one of Arkansas tallest mountains.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, Mount Nebos diverse trail system offers the perfect challenge for every skill level.

Riders must be at least 18 years old to register. Registration deadline is May 28.

6 june - discover outdoors: intro to scuba diving

Experience the excitement of scuba diving – no certification required! Perfect for beginners, this introductory class takes place in a safe, controlled pool enviornment where certified instructors guide you through every step of the way. Suit up, take a breath underwater, and explore the basics of diving in a fun and stress-free setting.

Participants must be at least 10 years old. 

If you are utilizing the payment plan option, please note that full payment is required before the class begins.

Registration deadline is June 2nd.

14 june - discover outdoors: fish clean & cook

Learn the basics of cleaning and cooking fish in this FREE hands-on class, presented in partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission!

Perfect for beginners, this introductory course is open to participants ages 16 and up.

Registration deadline is June 13th!

14 june - laser tag with odr

Get ready for an epic laser tag battle at the Hangar 1080 Event Center! All skill levels are welcome – enjoy state-of-the-art gear, thrilling game modes, and exciting team challenges.

It’s time to bring your A-game and join the fun! There will be two groups based on age (6-17 years from 3-5 PM and 18+ years from 5-7 PM).

All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration deadline is June 11th.

27 june - discover outdoors: intro to smoker skills

Master the art of barbeque! Perfect for beginners, this hands-on class covers the fundamentals of smoking – from selecting the right wood to controlling temperature like a pro.

You’ll learn essential teachniques for smoking meats, vegetables, and more – plus enhoy tasty samples along the way!

Come hungry and ready to level up your BBQ game!

$5 per person, participants must be at least 16 years old. Registration deadline is June 26th.

28 june - thomas lake stargazing bbq

Enjoy walking tacos under the night sky, complete with fun-filled bounce houses for the kids. As the sun sets, gather around for a mesmerizing stargazing experience where a telescope will help you explore the wonders of the universe.

Bring your family and friends for an unforgettable evening full of food, fun, and celestial discoveriess!

Event is free to attend, food tickets will be available for purchase for $4 for adults, and $3 for those under the age of 18.
