The Home of Herk Nation is proud to announce the first-ever Run the Runway Half Marathon, 5K, and 1-Mile Kids Run, happening May 30, 2026!

For the first time, we’re excited to welcome members of our community without prior base access to join us for this incredible event. Together, we’ll celebrate the rich heritage and history of our installation, made possible through the continued support of our local community and the state.

All participants will have the rare opportunity to race on our historic runway, which has supported critical United States military operations since opening in 1955. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t want to miss!

Whether you’re running the Half Marathon, the 5K, or cheering on the little ones in the 1-Mile Kids Run, this is your chance to be part of something truly special.
