Help Kids Understand Deployment — In a Fun, Hands-On Way!
Join the Military & Family Readiness Center on April 18 at Hangar 276 for Kids Understanding Deployment Operations — a special event designed to help children learn what happens when their parents deploy.
Kids will explore interactive booths and activities including:
- Nerf shooting range
- Medical/TCCC demonstrations
- Military vehicle & equipment displays
- Child PT Test
- C-130 static display and photo opportunities
At 12:30 PM, children can take part in the optional deployment experience where they’ll hop on a bus for:
- Military K-9 demo
- Taser demonstration
- Bus tour of base areas
At 1:30 PM, the kids will return for a special “welcome home” moment with their families — just like a real deployment return.
- Food provided
- Open to children of all ages
- Free event — no registration required
